Welcome to HovisCreations Maggie, a self-taught artist, began painting in her 20’s at a small workshop in Cote St.Luc in Montreal. She moved to Toronto in 1982. In 2005, her husband, Murray, surprised her with his late-father’s oil painting set and from then forward, Maggie has found pleasure in capturing friends and family on canvas once again. She has taken several oil painting workshops, but mostly study by video through the Liliedahl Fine Art Studio. Maggie has an unquenchable thirst to understand and get to know other artists, how they approach their styles, their subjects and would like to develop a network with other artists for mentoring and encouragement on a one-to-one basis. Oils are her choice in medium and portraits or figures are her subjects. Not until 2010 did she start to experiment with abstract and to her delight, and many of her friends, she has now added this to her portfolio of paintings. Maggie
